I have been working primarily on the construction of small scale figurative sculptures and modeled diorama-like sets.
Within these miniature environments imaginary creatures live out their stripped-down lives of consuming, excreting, evolving (or devolving) and decaying.

In regard to the themes in my sculptures;

'It appears quite clear to me that the violent biological processes of degeneration and regeneration, of parasitism, and the cannibalistic recycling of flesh that enables myriad life forms to evolve ever more complex perceptual and locomotive functions, occurs both within the micro landscapes of insects, and within the macro world of complex human societies.'
